College one-night stands: Love 'em or leave 'em?
Among the 5,000 students from 10 different colleges in Beijing surveyed by Beijing Municipal Commission of Population and Family Planning, 80 percent do not oppose the idea of a one-night stand.

I don't agree with one-night stands and I also think having multiple sex partners isn't right either. Doing so shows students haven't received proper sex education and there is something wrong with their values.

In America, one-night stands are quite common on campus as well. I think it's an individual's choice and prefer to say it shows an increasing openness towards sex in society, while at the same time challenging traditional values. However, I feel it causes more emotional harm to women, perhaps having a feeling of being used afterwards. I recommend a book called Unhooked which explores this issue on American campuses.

The reason why people have one night stands in the first place is because they feel their lives are boring or use it to take the pressure off, which is result of sexual openness, and has nothing to do with morality. But people who choose to have one-night stands should ”stand responsibly” and protect themselves from diseases.

One-night stands are just a way for people to feel good. With the opening up of Chinese society, perhaps the term “one night stand” won't carry the stigma it has now.

It's no joke that the most commonly seen litter under public benches, dotted in the deep grass or the corners in any park is Condoms. It is widely rumored that in Summer months, a famous grassland perched in Beijing's South district Fengtai would be fully taken up by the one-night sex partners when the dusk sets in. So it will be a crazy sight that naked men and women, mostly migrant workers and whores, are seen fleeing in all directions, whenever the police launch a crackdown on Porn and sex deal.
