It's said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In this story, you could say it's in the ear of the listener.
Susan Boyle, an ordinary Scottish woman is now one of the most talked-about people in the world. She dreamed a dream, sang a song and has millions of funs.
Susan Boyle is Number one.
Her debut album, "I dreamed a dream" is topping the music charts in the U.K.
The album is setting a 2009 record of more than 700-thousand copies sold.
And that success is now on track to be repeated around the world.
Simon Cowell, Judge of Britain's Got Talent, said, "Overnight this girl became a star. Literally overnight. So I'm sitting in L.A. watching the news and they're talking about Susan Boyle from "Britain's got talent." And every station I turned to, they all had the same story. I'd never seen anything like it in my life."
I dreamed a dream taken from musical "Les Miserables", is the song Boyle performed in her famous first audition in this April.
Unexpected talent helped this unemployed 48-year-old woman turn jeers into cheers.
From nobody to somebody -- in the case of Susan Boyle, it only took one song.
But it took years of work, and more than a little luck, to reach that moment.
What touches people is not simply her talent, but an inspirational quality.
Never stop reaching for your dream!
