Survey: How about "E-Sessions" ?
Premier Wen Jiabao's just concluded online chat set up a fresh wave of E-Government and Political Participation via Internet in China. Actually, Internet has already become an inalienable part of administration and an effective means to bridging the authorities and the general public at the provincial level , and in most of the State institutions and service sectors.
Due to the conspicuous advantages of the Internet----a wide coverage of as many audience as possible within the minimum time and at the lowest cost; and thanks to the fact that China possesses the world's largest base of Internet users, which is estimated nearly 400 million, E-whatsoever still has huge potentials to be tapped, and E-Government can be seen as just 'the tip of an iceberg'.
On the occasion that the annual 'Two Sessions' , i,e, NPC, the top legislature and CPPCC, the advisory body, are convened, some netizens even propose to hold the annual grand conferences on-line, so as to cut the cost, engage more people, attract more public opinions and thereby harvest more mass wisdom and smart ideas from the grassroots. More important, This is a showcase of equality, democracy and administrative transparency.
